Trip Tones

Originally rooted in acoustic modern jazz, Trip Tones gradually evolved into a more groove-oriented and genre-fluid project blending odd meters, urban textures, free improvisation, punk energy, techno influences, and contemporary experimental structures.

​

Released between 2009 and 2015, the four-album series documents different stages of Vanja Kevresan's musical development and artistic transformation.

​

While the early recordings were produced in Graz, Austria, the project continuously evolved through collaborations with musicians from the Berlin contemporary jazz scene and international artists.

​

The project's later sonic direction can be heard on the album Rave Underdog.
